ThredPay is currently in private beta and is not yet processing live payroll data. This policy describes how we handle information collected through our waitlist, contact forms, and this website, and how it will apply once ThredPay opens to new clients.
1. Overview
ThredPay Inc. ("ThredPay," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit thredpay.com, join our waitlist, or eventually use the ThredPay platform, and how we use, store, and protect that information.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name and email address when you join our waitlist or contact us. Once ThredPay is live, this will expand to include information needed to run payroll, such as employee names, banking details, and government identification numbers, all provided by you or your organization.
We also automatically collect limited technical information — such as browser type, device information, and pages visited — to help us understand how our website is used.
3. How we use it
We use the information we collect to respond to inquiries, notify you about ThredPay's launch, improve our website and product, and — once live — to process payroll, remit taxes on your behalf, and provide customer support.
4. Storage & security
Any data we collect is encrypted in transit and at rest, and is hosted on infrastructure located within Canada. Access to sensitive information is restricted to team members who need it to do their jobs.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing contact@thredpay.com. If you've joined our waitlist and would like to be removed, just let us know.
8. Data retention
We retain waitlist and contact information only as long as needed to communicate with you about ThredPay. Once live, payroll-related records will be retained as required by Canadian tax and employment law.
9. Children's privacy
ThredPay is a business software product and is not directed at, or intended for use by, children under the age of 16.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as ThredPay evolves, particularly as we move from private beta to general availability. We'll post any changes here and update the "last updated" date above.
